Please read the below instructions: before you open and install your iPod touch into the Apple Peel 520:

1. Software Installation manual version 096 (version 092-095 is included in the CD) from Elebest Singapore. This step can be done without the Apple Peel 520.

Some IMPORTANT information for English user:
1). Please add country code, ("+65" for Singapore) before mobile number when send out sms in YsSMS.
2). Some SIM cards are not supported because of it's PUK2 security lock: you can check your SIM card in a normal hp, change the PIN2, if it pop up it is forbidden by the service provider then your SIM card may not be used in this current Apple Peel 520.
3). iOS version: 3.1.3: jb your IPT by using spirit.exe(usb cable) or jailbreak.com(wifi). 3.1.3 is the highest version fo iPT 1G.
iOS version: 4.0, 4.0.1: jb your IPT by jailbreak.com(wifi)
iOS version: 4.0.2: upgrade to 4.1 in itune, then follow the steps of next step
    iOS version: 4.1:
        IPT2, and IPT3(8GB), iOS 4.1: downgrade from your iOS4.1 to iOS4.0, then follow the steps in the above manual. ( Downgrade from iOS 4.1 to iOS 4.0 (iPod Touch 2G or 3G (8GB)) )
        IPT3(16GB/32GB) and IPT4, iOS 4.1, limera1n + YosionApp 0.9.5 works! or greenpois0n + YosionApp 0.9.5 works! google how to use limera1n and greenpois0n.
        IPT2, iOS 4.1, MB model: redsn0w0.9.6/greenpois0n + YosionApp 0.9.5, works! IPT3/IPT4, (  [How to] Apple Peel 520, iPod Touch 2, MB model, with iOS 4.1, by gpssg ), not recommended.

Unlocked iPod, Connect the charging cable. It shows that the two batteries are being charged in the same time.

Fully Charging the iPod touch and the Apple Peel 520 normally takes around 5-6 hours because there are two batteries.

After installation, there are to green buttons: one is called Yosion, another is called YeSMS, which are used to make phone call and sms, respectively.

(Note: Usually the two button is located at the last two button of all the icons (after the last applications). In the picture, the two buttons (Yosion and YsSMS) are moved to the button panel for easy operation).

For IPT1 (iPod Touch gen. 1), the cable should be purchased, because the original cable of iPT1 can NOT charge the APPLE PEEL 520. Please prepare an original cable of iPT2 or iPT3, if you are using an iPT1.

2. Know how to install software and add sources in cydia.

NOTE: Jail break for iPod touch is legallised from July 2010 onwards, please google it, if you want. JB for iPod 4 (not iOS 4) is still not available, so if you are holding an iPod 4, then wait until it is JBed, then come to buy.

IS Jailbreak reversible?

Of course! If you ever decide that you want to remove your jailbreak, just connect your device to your computer, syc, and then press Restore in itune.

This guide describes how to install the Yosion Apple Peel 520 Call and SMS apps

Required: Jailbroken iPod touch + wifi connect.
Pictures and download links to the latest Yosion Apple Peel 520 software will be updated soon!

Step 1: Add Sources in Cydia and install AppSync

Open Cydia, on the bottom click Manage, select Sources. In the upper right corner click Edit, in the upper left corner Add. Enter http://cydia.hackulo.us/ and click Add Source. Click Done to finish.
To install AppSync click the Hackulo.us Source and install the version of AppSync according to your iPod Touch firmware version.

Step 2: Install Mobile Substrate and Respring

In Cydia, on the bottom click Manage. Click Settings and choose Developer (No Filters)
In Cydia, on the bottom click Search, search for Mobile Substrate and install it.
In Cydia, on the bottem click Search, search for Respring and install it.

Step 3: Copy the Yosion software to your iPod (Windows)

Connect to your iPod using WinSCP and navigate to /var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall/. It is possible that the directories Cydia/AutoInstall/ are not yet created. If so, create them.
Copy the .deb file in the AutoInstall directory.

Step 4: Reboot and Respring

Reboot and run Respring to install the Yosion and YsSMS apps.
After the installation of the required software, the Yosion and YsSMS icons will appear on the homescreen.

According the current users, there are a few glitches when you use this item, still need time to fine tune the software, the software is keeping upgrading from 0.91 to 0.95 now.

It is just a new toy for your iPod touch, and still in the developing stage, if you are very critical to its performance, please do not bid this item.
